Ingredients
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
- 5 ice cubes
- 1 teaspoon powdered dehydrated banana
- 1 teaspoon powdered dehydrated strawberries
- 1 teaspoon powdered dehydrated kiwi
- 1 teaspoon powdered dehydrated pineapple
Instructions
- Line the four powders up and add them together rather than one at a time. They are all a teaspoon, and losing count is the only real way to get this wrong.
- Wet the powders with the water first and let them stand while you fetch the ice. Four fruits means four rates of taking up water, and the pineapple is the slowest of them.
- Add the vanilla yoghurt once the powders have gone smooth. Yoghurt is acidic enough to make fruit powder clump if it is the first liquid in the jug.
- Keep the blend short. Kiwi seeds break under a blade and release a bitterness you cannot take back out.
- The pineapple is what makes this taste like more than strawberry and kiwi, and it is also the sharpest thing in it. Balance it with a little extra yoghurt rather than with sugar.
- Drink it within a few minutes. Kiwi carries an enzyme that breaks down dairy protein, and a glass left on the bench goes thin and slightly bitter while it works.
